OXYGEN-SHU is a key work from Alina Giza's diploma series, exploring the relationship between repetition, memory and organic systems.

Built through layers of watercolor, acrylic and soft pastel, the painting develops a distinctive visual language composed of recurring forms that resemble cells, woven structures, breathing patterns and traces of growth. The composition oscillates between abstraction and biological suggestion, inviting the viewer to navigate between what is familiar and what remains unknown.

The work reflects an interest in transformation, materiality and the hidden architectures that shape both nature and human experience. Repetition becomes more than a formal gesture — it becomes a method of recording time, emotion and process.

Created on a monumental scale, OXYGEN-SHU changes according to distance. From afar, the painting appears atmospheric and architectural. Up close, hundreds of individual marks reveal themselves, exposing the complexity of its construction and the artist's hand.
