SOIL–GEB
Original Painting by Alina Giza
SOIL–GEB is part of Alina Giza's diploma series exploring the relationship between growth, memory and organic structures.
Built through layered watercolor, acrylic and soft pastel, the work draws inspiration from the invisible systems that sustain life. Repetitive forms create a rhythmic visual field resembling seeds, roots, cells and living networks emerging beneath the surface.
Rather than depicting nature directly, the painting investigates its underlying logic — cycles of transformation, accumulation and renewal. The vibrant contrast between luminous yellow and deep violet creates a tension between energy and stillness, expansion and containment.
Created on a monumental scale, SOIL–GEB functions both as a contemporary abstract painting and as a spatial presence. The work transforms according to light, distance and surrounding architecture, revealing new relationships between colour, texture and rhythm.
As part of the artist's diploma project, this painting represents an exploration of painting as a living process — intuitive, material and deeply connected to the idea of growth.
